Sixth Judicial Circuit Judge R.C. Bollinger was elected to the Board of Directors of the Illinois Judges Association at the annual meeting held on June 7, 2013 at DePaul Law School in Chicago. Judge Bollinger will serve a three year term. There are approximately 50 members of the Board of Directors.

The Illinois Judges Association is composed of 1,250 active and retired Illinois State Court Judges. The IJA provides education and services to its members and information about court operations to the public.

Judge Bollinger has been a judge for over four years and is a member of the Illinois State Bar Association and serves as a Director of the Decatur Bar Association. Judge Bollinger is also a member of the Committee on Education for Illinois Judges and has been a faculty presenter at various judicial educational conferences. Judge Bollinger is an adjunct faculty instructor at Richland Community College and recently participated as a cast member in the Insanity Retrial of Mary Todd Lincoln at the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Museum in Springfield, Illinois in 2012.

The Illinois Judges Association also installed new officers for 2013-14 at the annual meeting. They are: President, Mary Schostok; 1st Vice-President, Michael Hyman; 2nd Vice-President, Robert Anderson; 3rd Vice-President, Israel Desierto; Secretary, John Coady; and Treasurer, James Snyder.
