Extended Media Coordinator

Sixth Circuit Administrative Order 2013-5 requires the Chief Judge to approve of a media coordinator who shall act as a representative of, and a conduit for, for all media requests in the Sixth Circuit.

Long-time media Coordinator Mary Schenk, associated with the News-Gazette, served as media coordinator since the Order was entered. She retired last year and her replacement at the News-Gazette, Sam Lisec, assumed the role. He has recently left the News-Gazette. Most of the media requests come from Macon County where Joe Astrouski, associated with WAND, has served as point person. He is willing and interested in serving as media coordinator for the entire Circuit. His appointment is effective Oct. 17, 2024. He can be reached at .
